Mariam lives in a remote Armenian village without a man. On her birthday, her hopes of being reunited with her husband for the celebrations are shattered.

Ophelia Harutyunyan è una regista armena che vive a New York, Di recente, assieme ad Alex Gibney e Suzanne Hillinger, dirige e produce “Totally Under Control” (NEON). Produce inoltre “Crazy, Not Insane” (HBO), presentato in anteprima al Festival del Cinema di Venezia, e “Red Apples” (OUAT Media), presentato in anteprima al T.I.F.F.. È una alunna della Berlinale Talents e i suoi film sono stati proiettati in numerosi festival di eccellenza come Sundance, SXSW, IDFA, AFI, Clermont Ferrand ecc.

Ophelia Harutyunyan is an Armenian filmmaker living in New York. Recently, together with Alex Gibney and Suzanne Hillinger, she directed and produced “Totally Under Control” (NEON). She also produces “Crazy, Not Insane” (HBO), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and “Red Apples” (OUAT Media), which premiered at T.I.F.F.. She is an alumna of Berlinale Talents and her films have screened at numerous top festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, IDFA, AFI, Clermont Ferrand etc.
