Provenienti rispettivamente da Gloucester e Belfast, il loro viaggio comincia con il teatro, le loro prime opere risultano finaliste al Bruntwood Prize, Papatango Prize e The Kenneth Branagh Award for New Drama Writing. La coppia fonda la Floodlight Pictures con sede a Belfast nel 2020 come veicolo attraverso il quale produrre i propri lavori cinematografici. An Irish Goodbye ha vinto il Premio Oscar come Miglior cortometraggio Live Action alla 95a edizione degli Academy Awards e si è aggiudicato il premio come Miglior cortometraggio ai Premi BAFTA 2023.

An Irish Goodbye is the second collaboration by the duo Tom Berkeley and Ross White following their highly successful debut ROY, an internationally award-winning short film selected for the 75th BAFTA Awards. Hailing from Gloucester and Belfast respectively, their journey began with theatre, their early works being finalists for the Bruntwood Prize, Papatango Prize and The Kenneth Branagh Award for New Drama Writing. The pair founded Belfast-based Floodlight Pictures in 2020 as a vehicle through which to produce their film work. An Irish Goodbye won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film at the 95th Academy Awards and won Best Short Film at the BAFTA Awards 2023.
