Un ristorante cinese in una piccola provincia italiana diventa teatro del conflitto tra i proprietari cinesi e i loro clienti, una famiglia emigrata dal Sud Italia. Una storia di immigrazione, stereotipi e diffidenza che porta a un climax grottesco. Nel finale surreale e comico, i bambini cercano di ricomporre le due famiglie simili e disfunzionali.

A Chinese restaurant in a small Italian province becomes the scene of conflict between the Chinese owners and their customers, a family who have emigrated from southern Italy. A story of immigration, stereotypes and mistrust that leads to a grotesque climax. In the surreal and comical finale, the children try to put the two similar and dysfunctional families back together.

Silvia Clo Di Gregorio lavora come autrice e regista, le sue storie si concentrano sulla rappresentazione queer, con uno stile forte e un’alta qualità dell’immagine. Ha ideato e scritto insieme a Bekka Gunther e Denise Santoro, Love Club, (Prime Video Italia) la prima serie TV italiana scritta e interpretata dalla comunità LGBTQIA+, in lizza per i Diversity Awards 2024. Il suo corto Pollo all’Ananas ’98, una commedia grottesca che sfida gli stereotipi, finanziato da Torino Piemonte Film Commission e dal Ministero italiano della Cultura, è attualmente in tour ai festival.

Silvia Clo Di Gregorio works as an author and director; her stories focus on queer representation, with a strong style and high image quality. She conceived and co-wrote with Bekka Gunther and Denise Santoro, Love Club, (Prime Video Italia) the first Italian TV series written and performed by the LGBTQIA+ community, up for the Diversity Awards 2024. Her short film Pineapple Chicken ’98, a grotesque comedy that challenges stereotypes, funded by Torino Piemonte Film Commission and the Italian Ministry of Culture, is currently touring festivals.
